"description": "Unseelie Court: War by Jasmine Becket-Griffith.\n\nWar represents the 2nd horseman in the Apocalypse. \n\nThe second painting of this series was painted by Jasmine Becket-Griffith for Dragon*Con 2014.\n\nThis piece uses a variety of imagery from medieval times up to contemporary or even futuristic war implements, trying to capture the timelessness and inevitability of war in general.\n\nThe fabric of her camouflage dress fades into Gros’ portrait of Napoleon & his troops on the viewer’s right, and Goya’s “Third of May” painting on your left.\n\nLots of weapons, smoke, and violence in this one. The dark raven and the white dove of peace weigh in on this human folly, the little banners they are carrying are written in Latin script and loosely translate to “War – What is it good for?” and “Absolutely Nothing” (from the Edwin Starr song).\n\nAll NFT's are high-resolution scans of the original acrylic paintings by Jasmine Becket-Griffith.\n\nJasmine Becket-Griffith is a traditional acrylic painter, combining elements of realism with fantasy and the surreal. Historical and spiritual references are intertwined with fairytales and the beauty of nature. Her trademark liquid-eyed maidens evoke a wide range of emotions and responses to the surrounding imagery. It is her goal to bring a bit of magic and mystery to the mundane world with every painting!",
